FAQ

There is no electrical difference between MDR and SDR (SDR is something referred to as HDR by some companies). Historically the first connector was the MDR and as cameras becasme smaller, the SDR connector was introduced. It is not uncommon to have a cable that has MDR on one end and SDR on the other to acommodate the hardware requirements. A general rule of thume is the distance between the screws on the connector. These would be the screws that hold the cable securely to the camera or frame grabber. For MDR the distance between screws is a little over 30mm (1¼”) and for SDK, the distance would be about 20mm (¾”).
